Springbok Casino Pontoon and the tables that left the lobby

Springbok Casino does not offer Pontoon today. On 9 October 2026 the lobby's Table Games tab listed 13 games and Pontoon wasn't one of them: it is among 19 games that older Springbok pages still name but the lobby no longer carries, along with Face Up 21, Craps, Pai Gow Poker and American Roulette. The nearest game still on the felt is plain blackjack at R1–R500 a round.

Is Pontoon still at Springbok Casino?

No. The lobby's game list has no Pontoon, and the Table Games tab has no Pontoon tile. The name hangs on in two places: older Springbok pages about its table games and software, written when the game list was longer, and the blackjack artwork on Springbok's site, which still includes a Pontoon tile.

Pontoon artwork from Springbok's blackjack collage

Pontoon is the British relative of blackjack, with its own words for the familiar moves ("twist" for another card, "stick" to stand) and some house rules of its own. If that's the game you remember, Springbok's blackjack table is the one to open now: a natural pays 3:2 and you can double on any two cards. Learn its plays from the basic strategy chart for Springbok's rules rather than carrying over Pontoon habits.

Retired table games (and two non-table games)

These are the games named on older Springbok pages that were missing from the lobby when it was last checked. A few still have artwork on Springbok's blackjack page; the rest survive only as names in old copy.

None of them can be played or staked on, and Felt Rules doesn't present any of them as available. Springbok hasn't said why they went.

None of the replacements counts toward a bonus. Play them from a plain deposit, and see how their house edges compare before you pick one.

Craps, Pai Gow Poker and American Roulette

Craps

Craps isn't in the lobby, and none of the 13 games in the Table Games tab uses dice. If you were after a fast game where you only pick a bet and watch it settle, the quick card games come nearest in feel.

Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker has left the lobby, yet it is still on the T&Cs list of games whose bets count toward bonus wagering:

Springbok T&Cs: games that count

Bonus wagering counts on 7 Stud Poker, Bingo games, European Slot Poker, Keno, Pai Gow Poker, Scratch Cards and all Slots unless otherwise stated; bets on excluded games before wagering is complete void the bonus and winningsSpringbok T&Cs, 9 Oct 2026.

The same list names 7 Stud Poker, European Slot Poker and Bingo, none of which is in the lobby either. A game you can't open can't help clear a bonus, whatever an old list says. The clause is read line by line in this breakdown of Springbok's games-that-count rule.

American Roulette

The only wheel in the lobby is European Roulette, with a single zero, and it sits in the Specialty tab rather than Table Games. American Roulette's extra double-zero pocket went with the game, and the French and Multiplayer versions older pages mention are gone too. Springbok says European Roulette takes up to R1,000 on inside bets and R10,000 on outside bets.

Why old Springbok pages still name retired games

A casino website gathers pages over many years: game guides, software overviews, pages for other countries. The lobby can change overnight while the copy around it stays as it was. Several of Springbok's older pages still describe a game list that today's lobby doesn't match, and its blackjack artwork predates the trim.

The lobby is the record that counts. If a tile isn't there, you can't stake on it. Felt Rules checks the lobby, not the marketing copy, before calling any game available, and explains that method in full.

Check the lobby yourself

  1. Open the lobby. Springbok's lobby loads in the browser, and you don't need to log in to see the game list.
  2. Open the Table Games tab. Every table on this site is there except European Roulette, which is under Specialty.
  3. Look for the name, not the artwork. A tile in an old banner is not a playable game.

Questions players ask

Does Springbok Casino have Pontoon?

No. Pontoon was not in the lobby on 9 October 2026; it survives only on older Springbok pages and as a tile in its blackjack artwork. Plain blackjack is the closest game you can play there today.

Can you play craps at Springbok Casino?

No. Craps is named on older pages but isn't in the lobby, and none of the current table games uses dice.

Is American Roulette available at Springbok?

No. The only wheel is European Roulette, with a single zero, in the lobby's Specialty tab.

Why do Springbok's terms still mention Pai Gow Poker?

The T&Cs list of games that count toward wagering still names Pai Gow Poker, 7 Stud Poker, European Slot Poker and Bingo, although none of them is in the lobby. A game you can't open can't help clear a bonus.
