32 Cards casino game: four players, one card each, top total wins

32 Cards is a quick casino card game at Springbok played with a deck of 32 cards (6 to King in four suits). Four players, numbered 8, 9, 10 and 11, are dealt one card each; the card's points are added to the player's number, and you bet on who finishes highest. Player 8 pays 11:1, Player 9 4.5:1, Player 10 2.2:1 and Player 11 1:1.

You may back up to three players a round, and the table sign reads R1.00 to R500.00. The game does not count toward bonus wagering, so play it without a coupon.

How 32 Cards works

A round of 32 Cards asks for one decision and no more: which of the four players will end up with the biggest total.

  1. Choose your players. Bet on Player 8, 9, 10 or 11. You can cover up to three of the four in a round, but never all four.
  2. One card each. The deck is shuffled before every game, and each player is dealt a single card.
  3. Add it up. A player's total is its number plus the points of its card.
  4. Highest total wins. If two or more players share the top total, the tied players are dealt another card, and this carries on until one of them comes out ahead.

Nothing you do after the bet changes the result. There is no hit, stand or fold; the skill is in choosing stakes you are comfortable with.

32 Cards card values and starting totals

The deck holds only the cards from 6 to King, four of each rank, and that short deck gives the game its name. Picture cards keep climbing in value rather than counting as ten:

77
88
99
1010
Jack11
Queen12

Add those points to each player's number and you get the range every player can finish in after one card:

What each 32 Cards player can total after one card, and what a win pays
PlayerLowest total (with a 6)Highest total (with a King)Pays
Player 8142111:1
Player 915224.5:1
Player 1016232.2:1
Player 1117241:1

The table shows why the prices are spread so wide. Player 11 starts three points clear of Player 8, so it can win with an ordinary card, while Player 8 needs a strong one and still has to beat three rivals drawing from the same small deck. The longer price on Player 8 is the game's way of balancing that head start.

A worked round. Player 8 draws a King (21), Player 9 a 7 (16), Player 10 a Jack (21) and Player 11 a 6 (17). Players 8 and 10 tie on 21, so only those two are dealt again, and the deal continues until one of them is ahead.

Each payout is quoted "to 1", so a win is paid on top of your returned stake. A bet on any player you backed who did not win is simply lost.

Covering three players

Backing three of the four players can feel close to a sure thing. It is not. One player is always left uncovered, and the bets on the two losing players still go. Before you spread chips, add up what your cheapest winner would return against the total you put down. With equal stakes on three players, a Player 11 win at 1:1 can still leave the round behind overall.

Spreading bets changes how often something in the round wins. It does not change the price of any single bet, and it raises the amount you have on the felt each round.

32 Cards table limits at Springbok

The game's table sign shows R1.00 minimum and R500.00 maximum, in line with the R1–R500 in Springbok's table-games article. Springbok's launch article for the game adds a useful detail: the R500 ceiling covers everything you bet in a round, across all the players you back, rather than each player separately.

So if you plan to cover three players, split the stake you had in mind between them; you cannot put the maximum on each.

32 Cards house edge

No house edge or RTP for 32 Cards appears in Springbok's articles or in the game's help page. The prices alone cannot tell you which player is the better bet, because that also depends on how often each player wins, which is not published either. This guide does not work one out.

If a published figure is what you want, Springbok gives one for most of its other tables; the house-edge guide lines them up. Among the quick card games, Lucky 7 and Akbar Romeo Walter have figures, while Teen Patti and Andar Bahar do not.

Leave the coupon out

32 Cards is not on the list in Springbok's T&Cs of games whose bets count toward bonus wagering, and bets on games outside that list before wagering is complete can void a bonus. Make your deposit without a coupon, then open 32 Cards at Springbok.

Try it with fun money

Springbok says logged-out players get a one-off R1,000 practice (fun-money) balance that does not renewOperator claim: Springbok article, 9 Oct 2026. A handful of practice rounds is enough to see how ties are dealt out and how quickly the game moves.

Mistakes worth avoiding

  • Chasing Player 8. The 11:1 price is long for a reason. Don't raise your stake on it after a run of losses.
  • Treating three bets as cover. One player always goes unbacked, and a short-priced win may not pay for the other two bets.
  • Forgetting the round limit. The R500 ceiling is for the whole round, not per player.
  • Playing at the game's speed. Rounds come back to back. Set a number of rounds or a stop time first, and keep the safer gambling tips in mind.
